Mission

The mission of the Fort Worth Police Historical Association (FWPHA) is to preserve the frontier and modern history of the Fort Worth Police Department and including collections of materials relating to over a century of history.

The Association accomplishes its mission in a variety of ways:

  • Through its programs and events for the Fort Worth Police Department and Fort WOrth area school children, the Association acts as an educational resource.

  • Through its collections, exhibits and community outreach programs including public lecture series, the Association plays an important role in facilitating communications between the Fort Worth Police Department and the communities it serves.

  • The Association researches, documents and disseminates information about the Fort Worth Police Department. It serves as an important historical and informational resource which can be utilized by a variety of local or national constituencies. In our activities, the FWPHA strives to honor all men and women who have served in one of the most prestigious Police Department in the world, the Fort Worth Police Department, and the special place they occupy in Fort Worth's history.
